Preparing the pattern Use a pattern for a loose-fitting caftan or kimono dress with batwing sleeves. Add a cold shoulder : Draw an oval cutout from the top of the shoulder. The front is open all the way down (djellaba or open dress type). 2. Cutting the fabric Fold the fabric in half, place the pattern on top. Cut the front into two parts (for the opening). Also cut the sleeves in one piece with the body if possible. Mark the shoulder openings. 3. Assembly Assemble the sides and sleeves. Make a neat hem around the shoulder openings. Join the two front parts together, leaving a central slit. 4. Laying the gold braid Sew the gold braid all along the neckline, the front opening, the bottom of the sleeves, and possibly the bottom of the dress. Use a straight stitch or a narrow zigzag stitch to secure it neatly. You will be able to download the model in PDF format directly after receipt and validation of your payment.
