Description

This stunning garment is a full-length thobe featuring a dramatic color combination of black fabric with vibrant red and black machine embroidery. The embroidery is richly applied, simulating the intricate patterns of traditional Palestinian Tatreez, particularly the cross-stitch technique. Key Embroidered Areas: Chest Panel (Qabbeh): The central focus is a large, dense, inverted V-shaped or rectangular panel on the chest. It is completely filled with geometric and stylized floral or palm motifs executed in bright red thread, often outlined or interspersed with black thread to create depth and definition. This area is the most heavily detailed and eye-catching. Sleeve Cuffs and Sleeves: The cuffs of the long sleeves feature a wide band of matching red and black embroidery. Additionally, lines of embroidery extend vertically or diagonally along the forearms. Side and Hem Panels: Vertical or semi-vertical columns of the geometric red and black Tatreez-style pattern run down the length of the dress, especially along the front and sides, giving the garment a slimming and elongated appearance. A decorative band often also appears near the hem. Collar/Choker: A matching separate or attached choker-style collar is also heavily embroidered in the same red and black pattern, tying the entire look together. Embroidery Technique: The stitching is machine-executed, giving a clean, consistent, and dense finish that strongly mimics the traditional hand cross-stitch (Tatreez) technique, using high-quality thread to ensure the colors remain vibrant against the black base. The density of the stitches creates a beautiful textural contrast with the smooth fabric. "Buyers outside USA are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply.
