Uncut Butterick 5506 Sewing Pattern, 1960s A-Line Dress, Size 14

This is an authentic (not a reprint or reproduction) Butterick 5506 pattern featuring a Misses’ one-piece, semi-fitted A-line dress with inverted V-front seaming has high front neckline with slit. Full length sleeves or sleeveless. The envelope says, “only three easy main pattern pieces.” This pattern is for vintage 1960’s size 14 with 36 inches, waist to 27 inches, and hips to 38 inches. This pattern has NOT been cut, and all pieces are included. It is complete with instructions and envelope. This pattern is not dated, but the style and pricing help date this to the 1960's. Sizing has changed over the decades. This shows size 14. The pattern shows size 38 with measurements as follows: Bust - 36 inches Waist - 27 inches Hips – 38 inches SUGGESTED FABRICS: Soft or crisp fabrics such as Synthetic Mixtures, Brocade for A or B also Lightweight Wool, Knits for A, Linen, Pique and Broadcloth for B. CONDITION: This pattern in good condition, with no odors or other issues. It is UNCUT and tissues are COMPLETE. Instructions are inside envelope. The contents are completely usable. Butterick pattern envelope has a small hole on the front right part (see photos). The envelope has some dings and a small tear on the edges. Although the envelope shows wear, it is completely usable. It has a couple of stamped messages on the front from its original business where it was sold. It has slight age-related browning of paper. Overall good condition for age of envelope and pattern.
